Chickpea Pizza Base

The perfect gluten free pizza base, this is such an easy recipe to whip up. Being made of chickpea flour makes it high in protein and filling. It’s perfect with any topping of your choice and will quickly become a regular on your menu.

Cook time: 10 minutes

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chickpea flour

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)


Method

  1. Combine the chickpea flour, water and salt. I find this does best when given a quick blitz in the blender.

  2. In a small frying pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and pour the chickpea mixture into the pan.

  3. Shake over the dried oregano and cover the frying pan with a lid.

  4. Leave to cook for 2-3 minutes. The base is ready to flip when you see bubbles forming on the surface.

  5. Flip the base and leave for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.

  6. Once its cooked, remove from the pan and add your chosen pizza toppings.
