Banana Bread Porridge

Banana bread and porridge, two delicious foods made even better when brought together into one tasty recipe. This Banana Bread Porridge is so simple and a great way to start off the day. Don’t take my word for it though, give it a try with the recipe below.

Banana Bread Porridge

Serves 1 | Vegan | Refined Sugar Free

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time 5-8 minutes

Ingredients

·      1/2 cup rolled oats

·      1 tbsp chia seeds

·      1/2 tsp cinnamon

·      1 cup almond milk

·      1 tbsp linseed meal

·      1 banana

·      1 tbsp peanut butter, to serve

 

Method

1.          In a small saucepan, add the oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and milk, stir to combine.

2.          Add the saucepan to the stove on low heat and allow to cook until the milk is soaked up, stirring occasionally.

3.          Mash the banana and stir into the warm porridge.

4.          Add the linseed and peanut butter and combine well.

5.          Transfer the porridge into a bowl and serve.
