Women's Wellness Wisdom by Dr Libby Weaver | Book Review

One of my personal favourite Nutritionists, Dr Libby has an amazing way of sharing her in depth knowledge of holistic health and nutrition in an easy to understand way. She provides so much invaluable advice and tangible tips in her books and I honestly believe everyone can benefit from them. On the cover of Women’s Wellness Wisdom it says ‘What every women needs to know’ and I couldn’t agree more with this statement. If more people knew about Dr Libby’s teachings, we would be living in a much healthier and happier world.

Divided into 4 main chapters, this book covers the topics ‘Eat’, ‘Body’, ‘Mind’ and ‘World’. The thing I love most about this book is that it has a holistic approach to our health and covers so many important topics, and most importantly the mindset behind food and the way we eat and feel.

Covering topics like the importance of nutrition, hormone health, stress, emotional eating, hydration, nature, sleep, lifestyle, gratitude, meditation and so much more. She really takes us through all areas of our life and how everything impacts our state of health.

She talks about why certain symptoms manifest in our body and the nutritional deficiencies or biochemical imbalances behind them, while giving us the tools and tips to support our natural healing systems.

From skin, hair, gut, liver, menstrual cycles, bloating, she really covers all bases and talks us through the systems in our body and how various areas are impacted/related.

Not only is this book filled with important information, but it’s also a beautiful looking and makes a great coffee table book. I highly recommend checking this book out and sharing it with all of the women in your life.

The March book for the Nourished Book Club is ‘How Not To Die’ by Dr Michael Greger. I’ve heard great things about this book and his food philosophy very much follows a whole food approach like I teach. Find the book here and join us as we learn how to avoid some of the most common diseases and causes of death.
