Nourishing Green Smoothie

This smoothie recipe is my favourite green smoothie and a go-to whenever I feel like I need an extra hit of greens. Not only is it delicious, but it is also so nourishing! Green smoothies really don't need to taste like grass, and this one is a great example of how good they can be. Whether you need a filling snack throughout the day, or you're looking for a good breakfast to start the morning, this one is a must try. I know you'll love it.

If you’re having this one for breakfast, you can also add in a scoop of natural protein powder; brown rice protein or pea protein are great options. One I'm currently using and loving is Amazonia Raw Protein Isolate, it works perfectly with this smoothie too, which is a bonus. By adding protein into the recipe it'll keep you fuller for longer and make for a satisfying meal.

Nourishing Green Smoothie

Vegan | Refined Sugar Free | Nut Free | Gluten Free
Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1/2 banana

  • 1 kiwi fruit

  • 2 tbsp pepitas

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • 1/2 tbsp greens powder (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the ingredients and place them all into a blender.

  2. Turn the blender on to high speed and blend until it turns smooth, without any chunks.

  3. Once combined, turn the blender off and pour the smoothie into a glass of your choice.

Thats it, so simple but so nutritious. It's great for when you're in a rush. Enjoy!
